The
flyover at Thirumangalam junction which is under construction is aimed to
facilitate smooth movement of vehicles across the vital intersection of Second
Avenue, Mogappair Road and the ever busy 100 Feet Road stretch. Once completed
the flyover will be a boon for Anna Nagar residents.
Till such time the
unregulated traffic movement is a major problem. Vehicles criss-cross each
other in a risky manner and helpless pedestrians find crossing 100 Feet Road a
very dangerous task.
State Highways Department sources stated the four lane two
way flyover which is about 800 meters long is likely to be opened for traffic
movement within a couple of months.
