The
construction of type II quarters with 56 units in Samson road, Ayanavaram
Railway Colony (PWQ) is left unfinished and abandoned for more than three years
now by the agency concerned engaged by southern railway construction
organization. Besides this, an excavated pit is causing
health hazards like
viral fevers due to stagnation of rain water which facilitates mosquito
breeding affecting the colony residents. K Ramadoss, Environmentalist and
Vice-President Exnora International requests the officials concerned in
Southern Railway to inspect the site and initiate concrete steps to finish the
long pending construction work at the earliest. Today the construction work is
lying incomplete and the dup part has become a man-made menace for the
residents. Quick action by the Southern Railway officials to re-start the
quarter’s construction work and covering up a huge pit will bring a great relief
to the nearby residents.
