The underground Chennai Metro Rail construction
work has intensified along Anna Nagar Second Avenue stretch from Thirumangalam
to Blue Star junction.
New narrow concrete road space has been built for single
line vehicle traffic movement. The road stretch especially near Blue Star
complex is now very narrow and vehicle riders need to be extra careful while
driving at sharp corners.
Since considerable
work on one side of the underground station is over, construction has now begun
on the opposite side, according to officials of Chennai Metro Rail Limited
(CMRL). With Metro Rail construction
activity on 2nd Avenue moving on to the other side of the road, work
seems to be progressing fast.
