According to
official Chennai Metro Rail sources preparations are on for launching of TBM
from May Day Park to Central, Shenoy Nagar to Anna Nagar East and Saidapet
towards Chamiers Road.
Diaphragm wall work is in progress at Thirumangalam ramp
area. Underground stations are under construction at Shenoy Nagar, Anna Nagar
East, Anna Nagar Tower and Thirumangalam.
All metro stations are being
constructed with automatic fare collection system and hi-tech facilities.
Underground stations will have two levels, namely, a platform level and a
concourse level. Automatic ticket gates with scanners provide access to the
platforms at underground and elevated metro rail stations.
