Koyambedu Elevated Metro Station

Construction work for the elevated metro rail station at Koyambedu CMBT is progressing swiftly. A total of 32 stations have been planned along the two Chennai Metro lines. As many as 19 stations are underground and 12 are elevated. 

Chennai Central (underground) and Alandur (elevated) would serve as interchange stations since the both the corridors of the Metro Rail project converge in the stations. 

All elevated metro stations at Arumbakkam, Vadapalani, Ashok Nagar-KK Nagar are being constructed with latest hi-tech facilities. Automatic ticket gates with scanners provide access to the platforms, which is a common feature at underground and elevated stations.
