A Bharathanatyam recital of Kumari Vinisha Kathiravan (Disciple of Smt. Urmila Sathyanarayanan, Natya Sankalpaa) took place during the inauguration of Marghazhi Maha Utsav on Saturday, the 1st December 2012 at Bharath Kalachar, No-16, Thirumalai Pillai Road, T.Nagar, Chennai17. Vinisha was accompanied with vocal support and nattuvangam by Swamimalai S.K. Suresh, Dhananjayan on the Mridangam, Kalaiarasan on the violin and Sashidhar on the flute.
The show was choreographed by Urmila Sathyanarayanan & Swamimalai S.K. Suresh. Kumari Vinisha Kathiravan is a 10th standard student of Chinmaya Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School, Anna Nagar.She is a student of Natya Sankalpaa – an Academy of Indian Classical Dance and Music founded by Smt.Urmila Sathyanarayana who is her guru. She is learning Bharathanatyam since the age of four. She is a Child prodigy, who at the age of seven performed a solo classical dance in the gracious presence of Padmashree K.J. Yesudas.
Kumarai Vinisha Kathiravan got appreciations from many legends like Dr.Balamuralikrishna, Mr. K.J.Yesudass, Mrs. Chitra Visweswaren, Mrs. S. Janaki , Music Director Sri. Deva , Mrs.YGP, Kumari Chachu and many more legends. She is also learning Carnatic Music & Yoga. She has sung devotional albums like “Saranam Ayyappa” and “Dhanvanthri Aradhana” which has proved her passion in singing too.
Vinisha Kathiravan was awarded ”Tender Navarasa” by Mrs.Nallamai Ramanathan and Mr. John Britto .Vinisha Kathiravan performed with PadmaShri Nithyashree Mahadevan at Radio One on 19.12.11 at Music Academy . Vinisha also gave a performance along with PadmaShri Sudha Raghunathan at Radio One on 21.10.11 at Music Academy.
