More than 50 students and 25 teachers from 23 school in Chennai participated in the interaction workshop on “First aid measures” organized by Radhatri Nethralaya on 8th November 2012 for the 3rd consecutive years.
The workshop was inaugurated by Bholanath (Director Fire and Rescue Service, Tamilnadu) and Dr. Raghavan (Retd, Emeritus Professor, IIT) presided over the function.Dr. Vasumathy Vedantham (Medical Director, Radhatri Nethralaya) presented the workshop and taught the students the simple first aid measures that can be done at home and the dos and donts that one should know in case of cracker injuries.
A total of 10,000 pamphlets illustrating the first aid measures were also given to the participating students
for distribution in their respective schools, she added
