Employability Training Programme by TCS for the economically backward section
of the society for those who underwent computer training course under Gandhi
Institute of Computer Education and Information Technology was held recently.
Sri L. Sabaretnam, Chairman, Bhavan’s Chennai Kendra welcomed the students. Sri
R. Nataraj, IPS (Retd), Director, Tamilnadu Public Service Commission,
inaugurated the training programme.
Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan is an
internationally reputed institution dedicated to the promotion of education and
culture. It is a charitable public trust founded by Dr. K.M. Munshi a far
sighted visionary and practical idealist. The Bhavan’s Chennai Kendra was
established in 1958
.The present premises of East Mada Street, Mylapore was
inaugurated by the President of India Shri V.V. Giri on September 2, 1972.
Since then the Kendra has been marching ahead with glorious contribution
towards cultural activities and rich Indian heritage. The Kendra celebrated
Golden Jubilee in the year 2009. The Chennai Kendra is promoting and
