Jaigopal Garodia Memorial Scholarships to a tune of Rs. 9,29,000/- was distributed to 1,112 students of 20 colleges and institutions in Tamil Nadu hailing from economically weaker sections.
The recipients included 279 visually impaired, 181 hearing impaired, 3 physically challenged of either gender. During 2012, Quaid-E-Milleth Govt. College for Women received the highest share with Rs. 1,83,000/- followed by St. Louis College for the Deaf with Rs. 1,72,000/-, Queen Mary’s College with Rs. 1,66,000/- and Dr. Ambedkar Govt.
Arts College with Rs. 1,60,000/-. Students of Presidency College, Govt. Arts\College (Men), Loyola College, Pachaiyappa’s College and a few more institutions were also benefitted.
The JGVV Trust also helps college students with free books from Jaigopal Garodia Charitable Book Bank.
