Chennai Sailing Academy has thrilled adventure lovers and sailing enthusiasts in the country by hosting the India International Regatta for the past 3 years. This year the fourth edition of the event will be organized under the aegis of the Tamil Nadu Sailing Association, which has been given the mandate by the Yachting Association of India to run the event on its own.
A hundred young sailors will be vying for top honours in this much awaited youth sailing event in the country.This year’s event will include for the first time, the Laser 4.7 class in addition to the Optimist and the
29er classes.
The TNSA and the CSA hope to provide a vibrant platform for the youth to excel in the sport of sailing and project Chennai as a global destination for future sailing events considering the fact that the Tamilnadu government is planning to oversee the creation of the first boating marina facility on the East Coast
of India. “
