The Banyan, based at Mogappair has
been an integral part of the chain of care for people with mental illness in
Chennai since 1993.
The projects of Banyan have changed the lives of thousands
of people by providing service to support them in reaching their definition
treatment with a model that combines medication and rehabilitation. The
treatment close to home project encourages those with mental illness and their
care givers to seek professional help.
The assistance for whole family project
is aimed to relieve the resource burden of a mentally ill relative and ensures
effective care at home.
