Animal Welfare Talks In Educational Institutions

Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) , a statutory  body under the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Govt. of India, for the past 50 years has been striving to increase social consciousness towards the needs of animals and their role in the environment.

Upholding the belief that education and awareness are essential to strengthen animal welfare movement and to build humane public attitude, on the occasion of its Golden Jubilee year, AWBI has initiated a novel Humane Education project.

Starting in Chennai this month, the education team from Board will conduct animal welfare talks in educational institutions, corporates, govt. offices etc. This project will also be executed at these cities of Bangalore, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Dehradun.

This project promises to bring light and shine on these key aspects: bio-diversity, organic farming, factory farming, beauty without cruelty, humane customer choices, pet care, animal rescue, controlling growing stray dog population.
