Many
people around celebrate the United Nations’ (UN) World Tourism Day each year.
The day aims to foster awareness among the international community of the
importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic values.
Anna Adarsh College for Women celebrated World Tourism Day recently. The
special guests for the function were David Holly, Australian Consul General for
South India and State Tourism Minister S. Gokula Indira.
The event was
organized Department of Tourism and Travel Management of Anna Adarsh College.Anna
Adarsh College for Women (AACW), Chennai was established in 1985 by the
Punjab Association with a noble mission to develop competent, committed and
empowered women who would equip themselves as an agent of social change.
