Chennai Metro Rail
tunnel work is going on in full speed. A tunnel boring machine that was
launched from Nehru Park towards Egmore and 50m of tunneling work has been
completed. Diaphragm wall construction has been fully completed in
Washermenpet, May Day Park, Nehru Park & Shenoy Nagar. Casting of precast
tunnel segments for all packages is in progress at casting yards.
About 65
diaphragm wall panels and 12 plunge columns is completed at KMC and about 63 diaphragm wall panels is also completed at
Pachaiyappas College station.
According to official Metro Rail sources, 52
diaphragm wall panels is completed at Anna Nagar Tower station and 54 Diaphragm wall panels is completed at
Thirumangalam station.
