Metropolitan
Transport Corporation (MTC) introduced a new bus route 170R at CMBT Koyambedu
terminus on Friday 21st September 2012 covering parts of Villivakkam
and Ambattur. 1000 new buses were added to the existing fleet at a function
held recently.
Chief Minister J.Jayalalithaa had recently flagged off 1000 new
buses for MTC and State Express Transport Corporation at a function in the Secretariat.
According to official
Transport Department sources State Express Transport Corporation (SETC) got 370
buses and Chennai’s Metropolitan Transport Corporation (MTC)
got 45 new buses.
