World Vision India had released a
book titled Melae Vaanam Keelae Bhoomi at Art House, Kasthuri Rangan Street,
Alwarpet on September 22 during inauguration of ‘Photo Exhibition’ under World
Vision India’s Chennai Bal Jyoti Project.
The book has a collection of photo
on slum students on the streets of Chennai.R. Parthiban (Film Director) inaugurated the photo
exhibition and released the book.
He also gave away the certificates to the
students photographers in presence of Dr. Jayakumar Christian (National
Director, World Vision India), Vidhayasagar (Director, Child Protection,
UNICEF) and other eminent personalities.
Jayakumar Christian said that more
than 50 photographs exhibited in the exhibition which is taken by 20 children
living on streets.
The photographs speak about their day to day problems faced
by children in their daily walk of life, he added.He said that children
underwent photography workshop under able guidance of R. Srinivasan (Director,
