Anna Arch, the famous landmark of Anna
Nagar which historical importance will not get removed and will continue to
remain in the same position.
According to official sources, Chief Minister
J.Jayalalithaa has ordered stalling of its removal.
The structure was to be
pulled down to make way for a twin flyover-subway project to ease traffic on
Poonamallee High Road.
The alignment of the proposed flyover linking Poonamallee
High Road with Anna Nagar 3rd Avenue will be slightly changed.
