The Storm Water and
Drain Department of Chennai Corporation is constructing a new storm water
drainage facility along SBOA School Road in Thirumangalam area.
The new
drainage system is getting constructed to prevent water-logging during the
rainy season.
According to official Chennai Corporation sources low lying roads
in Ambattur and Madhavaram will be given priority in implementation of new
drainage projects.
Storm water drains are designed by the civic authorities to
relieve water stagnation in water logging prone areas irrespective of the width
of the road.
