“Pranavanaadham” presented its Carnatic fusion
concert, it is the practice of this group to present a newly composed piece in
every concert in order to match with the concert theme. During the concert presented “The New Horizons”(Travel in
the desert) where the music theme throws open rays of new hope as one travels
through the Desert.
The composition was based on modal shift of tonic
(Grahabedham) This group also
presented “SHIVASHANKARI” golden melody sung by the great legend Ghantasala, in
the raga Dharbari, for the first time (Live) in the instrumental ensemble.
Apart from these two compositions the programme consisted of a Fusion Varnam,Mudhakaratha
modhakam, composed by Shri Adi Shankaracharya, set in ragamalika enters in as
invocation and Joy of Rhythm composed in the ragam Nalinakanthi for melody and
three patterns of rhythms has been used like Chatusram, Misram and Tisram.
