Red Ribbon Express

The Red Ribbon Express train carrying informative messages about the prevention of infectious diseases such as HIV/AIDS, TB and malaria will traverse 10 districts in the State between 9^th and 30^th May2012.The eight-coach Red Ribbon Express is expected to roll into Chennai Central on Sunday, 27^th  May 2012. According to official sources, Red Ribbon Express was flagged off from New Delhi on January 12 to commemorate National Youth Day. 

Each of the coaches of the express train will highlight different aspects of communicable diseases. The first coach will have display-boards, touch-screens and 3-D models on bio-medical aspects of HIV/AIDS.
