At many places in Anna Nagar,
pedestrian footpaths are very poor state and unusable. The pedestrian footpath
along 2nd Avenue Road, near 12th Main road has broken and
uneven slabs.
This clearly shows that no cares enough for safety of
pedestrians. Walking on a majority of the city's footpaths is literally an
obstacle course. The lack of quality pedestrian infrastructure forces
pedestrians to walk on roads causing a threat to their life.
