It is reported that most of the streetlights
along East Main Road in Anna Nagar Western Extension area are not burning
properly for a long time.
The absence of streetlights on this busy stretch
which connects SBOA School Road with Ambattur Estate road at Thirumangalam
junction is posing problems for vehicle riders.
Due to poor illumination,
pedestrians find it difficult to walk and cross the road at night.
East Main
road is used by hundreds of motorists daily and the lack of bright streetlights
is a cause of concern for motorists.
Dumped abandoned vehicles along the road
margin are making the situation worse.
