Indian Railways is one of the largest transport networks in the world, by virtue of its safety, efficiency, reliability and economic viability. While the nation trust Indian Railways, ICF lends the most trusted service to the Indian Railways by delivering quality products to meet the ever increasing traffic demands. 

Ever since its inception in 1952,Integral Coach Factory-ICF, has been contributing in a significant manner for the growth of Indian Railways which plays a vital role in the nation's economy and infrastructure development. Keeping in tune with the demand for latest passenger coaches, ICF has been producing and delivering a large variety of railway coaches. 

Today ICF remains the pioneer in developing and bringing out varieties of railway coaches for passengers, both conventional and luxury and special. Recent products of ICF like AC/DC EMU's for Mumbai suburban, DEMU's for Srilanka and Units for Kolkata Metro  are the shining examples for its progress strides. ICF has turned out 1503 coaches during the last production year ( 2010-11) surpassing the target of 1500 coaches given by the Ministry of Railways which is also an all time record production. 

According to official sources, ICF has produced over44316 coaches and 46343 Shells upto January 2012.

Since its inception. ICF has been  sanctioned with a project at an estimate cost of Rs.250 Crores for manufacturing technologically upgraded coaches of stainless steel shells and high speed bogies and increase its capacity from 1500 to 1700 coaches. With these projects ICF would usher into a new era of manufacturing best rail coaches.
