The Adhi Naidu Street in Villivakkam
which appeared barren without any green cover was given a face lift
with adequate tree plantation during the year2005.
Exnora International
had organised a tree plantation programme presided by former Mayor of Chennai
Corporation on the occasion. Now the street looks beautiful with an
exception in the rest of streets in Villivakkam.
However, the street which connects New
Avadi road from MTH road in Villivakkam is narrowed down by encroachments with
a defunct/dilapidated vertical building besides installation of a pillar
box by the TNEB as seen in the photos.
Due to encroachments, the 30 feet wide Adhi
Naidu has been reduced to 20 feet on the southern end which connects New Avadi Road.
