Construction Of Elevated Viaduct At CMBT

The photo shows the construction of the Chennai Metro Train elevated viaduct which is going on in full swing at the Koyambedu CMBT premises.

The construction work for the elevated viaduct along Inner Ring Road with multi-level interchange connecting Koyambedu is on, using latest state-of-the-art technology and erected by overhead launching girders without use of any ground supported staging, obviating traffic disturbances.

The Chennai Metro Rail is an ambitious most awaited project. Metro Rail will start laying tracks for the Koyambedu to St. Thomas Mount stretch. The first consignment of tracks, will be used in laying the stretch from Koyambedu to Vadapalani, and the rest for the depot coming up in Koyambedu.
