The habit of winning and
getting awards is something that the students of Citizens of Consumer Club of
DG Vaishnav College, Arumbakkam have inculcated right from the day of its
inception. The club was awarded the Best Club in Tamil Nadu State government on
5-4-2012 at a function held in Coimbatore. S.Darmodaran, Minister for
Agriculture and R.Kamaraj, Minister for Food handed over the trophy, citation
of excellence and a cash award to Dr.S.Narasimhan, Principal of the college and
president of the club.
The Consumer Club of DG Vaishnav College was started in
the year 2008 and has been doing well. Rural outreach camps awareness rallies
symposiums, and consumer related activities has made the club members to fetch
many honours. The college principal appreciated the students and advised them
to keep up the good work. Rahul, Coordinator of the club thanked the management
for the support and encouragement.
