International Women's Day is celebrated on 8th March. The UN theme for International Women’s Day 2012 is Empower Women – End Hunger and Poverty. In many countries, International Women's Day is an occasion to honor and praise women for their accomplishments.

The three ladies Mrs Kalpana (Mother of Varsha) and Mrs Geetha (Mother of Shanmuga pooja ) and Mrs Dhanalakshmi (Mother of Swashika) are from Villivakkam.
They are parents of SHI-BA Academy who actively participated in Rangoli on paper , Singing , Musical Chair and Dance Competitions.
