A new high median has been constructed below the Padi flyover. The median is painted in black and white stripes. Reflectors will be installed. The new divider will help in solving the problem of risky crossing of motorists and pedestrians through the median gaps. Earlier the median was low lying and damaged at many parts. Due to the low-level center median there is criss-crossing vehicles, mainly two wheelers to reach Villivakkam from Ambattur.
