Children sang and danced in honour of Chennai Police which attracted the attention of all the visitors to Chennai City Police. Earlier to this representatives of Civic Exnora branches and Residents’ Welfare Associations of Greater Chennai Area met to discuss safety of citizens and precautions to be taken in view of increase in crime in the city. Citizens safety will always be the main discussion point in the meetings in view of the incidents of crimes happening and which are also found to be increasing.
Safety has been propagated by the Civic Exnoras & Residents’ Welfare Association for a long time. Following the recent Velachery encounter, the Residents Associations wanted police to be more proactive and protect them from outstation robbers and thugs who are out to disturb the peace and tranquility of the city.
The meeting expressed its grateful appreciation to Chennai City Police and the Police Commissioner Mr. Tripathi for the steps taken by the department to make Chennai a crime-free city and all the policemen for their teamwork and State Government’s goal of making the Tamil Nadu crime-free. It lauded the efforts of Hon’ble Chief Minister in modernizing the police force and ensuring that there is no political interference.
The Chennai City Police is doing well as per the State Government’s goal of making the state crime free against all odds. The way the Police detected the Bank robberies buy collecting the footage of CC TV from other bank
branches and zeroing in on the real culprits only reminded that Chennai City Police is truly the Scotland, Yard of India. Kudos to the Police. First they should be commended for that.
The Police did not have any personal enmity against the day light robbers who robbed several lakhs of rupees within a short period of time in two banks.
we all believe that the Police should take care of the security of the people, they must also be trusted . The way that criticisms are harped on them, the policemen are sure to get demoralized and become deaf & dumb & fragile.
The policemen are bound to come to the conclusion that they are doing a thankless job. They should be appreciated and thanked.
