If you are walking on Anna Nagar Second Avenue towards 12th Main Road, be careful, for there is a gaps and broken slabs in the pavement. This is posing a grave danger to pedestrians.
Shop owners complain that the broken pavement has been lying unattended for a long time and no action has been taken to repair it. This footpath hasn't broken down in a day or a month.
Its condition has been steadily deteriorating and no efforts have been made to mend it. Pedestrians said that the broken pavement is a big hassle for pedestrians, specially in the evenings and mornings when the traffic is heavy.

However, the problem is not restricted to Second Avenue alone. Residents of other areas said there is a general disregard for the needs of pedestrians in the city. Let the concerned officials take steps to set right the pavement.
