Creating Awareness On Medicinal Plants

Mylai Abhilasha Lioness Club organised an awareness program at Chennai Girls Higher Secondary School,Nungambakkam with a brief interactive talk with National Green Corps (NGC) students on medicinal plants. 

Mrs.Varalakshmi Mohan,President,Mylai Abhilasha Lioness Club after presenting 30 different varieties of medicinal  plants and ornamental saplings to Mrs.K.N.Krishna veni, Headmistress of the school  in the presence of Mr.G.Thangaraj, District Coordinator, NGC, Dept of Environment, Govt of Tamil Nadu, explained the importance of such plants and its traditional values. 

She admired the academic excellence , school environment and the extra curricular activities carried out in school.  Mrs.Sakunthala,member(activities),Mrs.Chithra Ramamurthy,Secretary, Mrs.Thilagavathy, Treasurer and Ms.Booma Gopal, member and teachers were present during this  " greening the campus  " campaign and recalled their memories of olden traditions.
