World Vazhviyal Neri Sangam of Villivakkam, organized a grand Thiruvalluvar Thirunal function on 29th January 2012. During the function Kavignar Palani was praised, honoured and awarded for his books. Kavigner Palani was given the title of Thirukkural Chemmal. Thirukural Urai and Valluvar Kalathu Mannum Manithamum. Thirukkural Thiruvai Bapu, Barathidasan Kavithaiamaippu of Nangallur headed the function. Kavimaamani S.Elilan spoke eloquently on his work. Tamil scholar, Kavignar Palani, has been contributing his very best for the spread of Sanga Ilakkiam and Thirukkural in particular.
He writes regularly on Kurunthogai in Anna Nagar Daily. He has written Thirukural books in easy to understand layman's language. Kavignar Palani is closely associated with the Anna Nagar Tamil Peravai. Kavignar Palani, aged 63, is fondly known as Kavignar Seeni Palani. He delivers Kamba Ramayana Sundara Kandam every week at Anna Nagar Tamil Peravai. Besides the story of Annanathi and Adhimanthi eternal love birds of Karikal Chola Era. He has written 13 books in Tamil. Kavignar Palani is an expert in Yoga. His book Yogam Payil is much sought after book for learners and yoga luminaries.
His thought provoking writing on present social evils are always praised by the eminent writers. In recognition of his contribution to Tamil literature the Anna Nagar Tamil Peravai has adorned him with the title of Paavalar. Also appreciating his work leading Tamil monthly magazine Kanniyam has honoured him with the title of Kanniyam Chemmal. Kavignar Palani spoke on the occasion and thanked the Sangam.
