Overpass Work At Anna Arch Junction Started

The construction for a flyover at the Anna Arch traffic junction along Poonamallee High Road is began. Already trees obstructing the road were axed. 

The vehicle riders crossing the Nelson Manikam Road-EVR Salai junction and the EVR Salai- Anna Nagar 3rd Avenue junction will not have to wait at the signals in the future. 

Traffic snarls are a common sight at the two intersections, especially during peak hours in the morning and evening.  It is reported the two flyovers will come up to ensure free traffic movement from Poonamallee High Road and Anna Arch intersection. 

The flyover will also bring relief at Nelson. The flyovers will start on EVR Salai. While one will lead to Nelson Manickam Road, the other will branch out on Anna Nagar Third Avenue. The other flyover starting on the left of Anna Arch on EVR Salai will land on Nelson Manickam Road.
