One day Field Trip To Science & Technology Centre

 The students from National Service Scheme(NSS), Junior Red Cross(JRC) and National Green Corps(NGC) went on a one day field trip to Periyar Science & Technology Centre, Kotturpuram and visited Science exhibition and learnt many scientific principles by self learning and demonstration.  Later these 80 students visited the Adyar Eco park situated near Adyar estuary and they were explained the features and qualities of various medicinal plants . 

As part of this " walk to the park  "  competition was held to identify the various known medicinal plants available in the park.  A telefilm was shown which explained the various activities carried out  for the safety and growth of these saplings. 

Mr.G.Thangaraj,District Coordinator, National Green Corps , Dept of Environment stressed the need for caring the plants in our daily life and explained the Solar equipments and its uses in the park.   Dr.V.P.Jeris Pretima, NSS coordinator and Mrs.D.R.Latha Murugesawri NGC teacher lead the trip. In continuation of this environmental educational trip these students will visit the Chennai Snake Park , Guindy next week.
