There is absolute chaos during peak traffic hours at the intersection of at D-Block East Anna Nagar, Kilpauk Garden Road and Cemetery Road. The intersection is among the important routes to reach several city suburbs. It is also a link to Poonamallee High Road from Anna Nagar, widely used by residents of Shenoy Nagar.
Ever since, the metro rail work started in Shenoy Nagar Thiru-Ni-Ka Park, there has been a tremendous increase in the volume of heavy vehicles criss-crossing the junction. The location is used by countless commercial vehicles plying towards Ambattur and Mogappair.
All these factors have significantly contributed to the manifold increase in the volume of traffic in this area. Especially during the peak hours, it is an exasperating experience to negotiate this stretch. The jam holds up traffic moving towards Ambattur, Anna Nagar and Mogappair
