The 24th Annual Sports Day of Valliammal College for Women, E-9, Anna Nagar East was held on 28th January 2012 in the college ground. Mrs S.Vijayalakshmi, Deputy Manager, Indian Airlines Chennai, (First Woman Grand Master of India in Chess and First International Master of India, Arjuna Awardee) was the chief guest and distributed the prizes.
The College Principal Dr.T.V.S. Padmaja welcomed the gathering and appreciated and highlighted the student’s achievements in-between the events.
The Annual report was presented by M.Kalpana, Physical Directress. The cultural programme was amazing. The action display of Karate skills by the students to safeguard themselves from attackers in a van was great.
