Post Office Building In Damaged Condition

In Chennai, many old post offices which were functioning in old buildings got  new buildings. At present, Anna Nagar Western Extension Post Office continues to function in a dilapidated and unsafe building situated at  

Tamil Nadu Housing Board Shopping Complex, located at School Road, Thirumangalam. Both staff and the public face hardships as the post office lacks even basic amenities. 

The Postal Department’s promise of a new building to house the  Anna Nagar West Extension Post office, owned by India Post, is yet to be fulfilled. The area residents hope to have a modern post office building in the new year.
