Metro Rail Work On 13th Main Road

Work on  Chennai Metro Rail Project is now going on the 13th Main Road, Anna Nagar West. The Thirumangalam Traffic Police have announced certain changes in the vehicular movement in Thirumangalam to facilitate the Metro Rail work on the 100 Feet Road.

 Full-scale construction is expected to start along the Poonamallee High Road by January2012.

Underground walls, reaching to a dept of 22-23 meter below the ground level, have already started coming up at  Nehru Park, Kilpauk and Thiru Vi Ka park in Shenoy Nagar.

All underground tunneling and station construction work would begin only after construction of the diaphragm walls. Underground Stations are at  Nehru Park, Kilpauk Medical College, Pachaiyappa's College, Shenoy Nagar, Anna Nagar East, Anna Nagar Tower and Thirumangalam.
