Work on the Koyambedu-St.Thomas Mount stretch is fast progressing to reach the 2013 completion target. Train tracks will be soon laid along the 100 feet road stretch.
The elevated viaducts have been placed till Ashok Nagar The Koyambedu -Ashok Nagar stretch will completed first. It is reported that the Koyambedu -St.Thomas section will have about seven railway stations.
