Health Camp Conducted

On 30-11-11 at CMDA Truck Terminal, Madhvaram, One day- YRCS Health Utsav Mela with the association of CMDA, sponsored by J.H.A. Agarsen College, C.M.D.A, SRF and TANSACS was held, in which 750 truck drivers from all over nation participated and benefited. 

The programme was inaugurated with distribution of  Red Ribbon  and signature camp by Thiru M.Vasudevan,  President, Thiru V.G. Jayagopal  Secretary  of Lorry Association, Thiru Lion Vasu President of Poonamalle C.M.D.A , Thiru D.Duraipandian  Principal of Agarsen college, Thiru Dr.Purushathaman Vice Principal of Agarsen college, Madhavaram councillor, and 50 YRCS volunteers of Agarsen college. 

The President of Lorry Association delivered a lecture on HIV/AID awareness and he pointed out three experts in Nation, Solidier- Protect our country, Farmers- Feed to the Public, and Drivers carry goods at any climatic condition to one part to another part of nation. 

Principal of our college brief implementing general activities, YRCS activities on projects like Health awareness,HIV, relief measures and when needed, importance of Health Utsav and Blood group Identification. The secretary of C.M.D.A, Madhavaram spoke on importance of programme conducted and awareness of HIV/ Aids and Mrs.C.K.Gomathi, programme officer of YRCS of Agarsen College delivered speech on importance of Blood group identification, general Health and awareness of HIV/AIDS. 

Totally 750 Lorry Drivers participated and 7 stalls in the Health Utsav Mela , each stall incharge for following activities, namely  200 truck drivers participated in blood group identification and identity cards were issued with blood group,  HIV/AIDS blood test done for 90 drivers, General Health check up camp conducted with the assistance renowned medical officers,   215 drivers took treatment and medicines and games like Balloon shooting, throwing ring was conducted, and 150 participants took part. 

750 Red Ribbon was distributed in inauguration function and first sign was signed by President of C.M.D.A and follow by our principle. Full day cultural programme, 6 Health awareness dances, street play was performed by our college YRCS Volunteers and C.M.D.A. The programme was concluded with distribution of certificates.
