At present there are very few buses connecting Ayapakkam. The bus route number 20E between Aiyapakkam and Ambattur Industrial Estate is always overcrowded. Every day hundreds of people wait for a long time at Dr.Ambedkar Statue bus stop for buses going towards Ayapakkam and Poonamallee.
The frequency buses on route number 147C form T.Nagar to Ayapakkam, 20E which connects Ambathur Estate with Ayapakkam needs to be increased. The area residents want more buses to be operated on route 15L from Ambattur ICF Colony to Broadway.
The Ayapakkam bus terminus lacks basic passenger amenities. Let the Metropolitan Transport Corporation take up necessary action to introduce trailer buses for the benefit of the public.
