Memorial Scholarships Distributed To 1214 Students

Jaigopal Garodia Memorial Scholarships amounting to  9,04,250/- were distributed to 1214 students of 21 Colleges hailing from economically weaker sections.   

The recipients includes 161 visually impaired, 193 Deaf & Dumb and 4 Physically Disabled students also. 

Amongst the highest share is Quaid-e-Millath College for Women with ` 2,54,000/- followed by Dr. Ambedkar Govt. Arts college with  ` 1,67,000/-, Queen Mary’s College with ` 1,53,000/-,  Presidency College ` 1,19,000/-, St. Louis College for Deaf with            ` 1,10,000/-, Loyola College ` 31,000/-, Chellammal Women’s College  ` 21,000/-

The Scholarships were distributed  by Shri. Kailashmull Dugar, President – Shri Jain Medical Relief Society and Andhra Chamber of Commerce in the presence of Shri. Ashok Kedia, Managing Trustee and Shri. Somanathan, JGVV Trustee. 

The scholarships centre was founded eight years ago by Shri. Jaigopal Garodia – a  philanthropist and an eminent educationist. The Trust so far distributed Rs. 81 lacs scholarships.  The Trust also patronises  Charitable Book Banks for college students and a number of talent academies and educational institutions for the downtrodden children in and around Chennai, Madurai and Bangalore

.  Shri.  Kailashmull Dugar emphasised that the youth power is the backbone of the nation.  He also urged the youth to give back to society when they come up and build a powerful India
