Craft Bazaar 2011

The Craft Council of India presents, Craft Bazaar 2011. It is a grand exposition showcasing the finest of crafts from across India. The event was inaugurated by Ms.Gautami, Renowned Actor and Patron of Art on 23rd September 2011. The exhibition has over a 150 artisans from across India. 

The Crafts Council of India’s Crafts Bazaar is a grand festival and celebration of the country’s rich heritage of arts and crafts.During these exhibition days, the visitors have an opportunity to interact with artisans, appreciate and learn about traditional craft forms and techniques and a chance to purchase one-of-a-kind rare and special handicrafts. A varieties of bags, sarees, boxes, cushion covers, bed linen, jewellery, toys, dupattas and more are also available.

The vision of Craft Council of India is to ensure sustainable livelihoods for the Indian artisan community. The mission of Craft Council of India is to facilitate education, training & apprenticeship to young artisans, to  link artisans to current market systems and to document artisanal processes to provide reliable knowledge bases. 

Craft Council of India is a registered not for profit Society committed to ensuring that the practice of craft is a sustainable livelihood that will ensure a better future for the next generation of artisans. CCI is active throughout India, working directly with artisans or in partnership with likeminded non-profit organizations. 

This bazaar is one of a series of marketing opportunities that CCI provides for artisans. The scale of the exhibition is huge, the range of craft styles and products immense. The products are hand-made and environment
