Dead Trees Removed

Keeping in mind the safety of the road users, the dead trees along the Ambattur Industrial Estate Road near the Thirumangalam bus stop was cut down and removed.

Dead trees found at bus stands, railway stations and other public places in the city are to face the axe.

This follows a direction by the First Bench of the Madras High Court comprising the Chief Justice M.Y.Eqbal and Justice T.S.Sivagnanam to the Chennai Corporation. The Court also said that whenever dead trees are removed, new saplings should be planted in the ratio of 1:10.
