The Hash 10 World SIM 78th National Billiards and Snooker Championships 2011, scheduled to commence with the Sub-Junior Girls Billiards Championship at the Geetha Bhavan on Lloyd’s Road in Chennai from Monday, July 18, 2011, has attracted a record number of 830 entries. Players from Meghalaya and Jharkand would are participating in the Green Baize extravaganza being organized by the Tamil Nadu Billiards and Snooker Association (TNBSA).
“The tournament will serve as the qualifying event for the Asian and World Championships. We see a significant increase in the participation of players across all categories and also an increase in the number of associations wanting to send players for the prestigious event,” TNBSA President Arun Pandian said. Tamil Nadu Billiards and Snooker Association (TNBSA) had hosted the National Championship in 2006, again when Arun Pandian was the President of the Association.
Tamil Nadu Billiards and Snooker Association (TNBSA) is a not-for-profit association and affiliated to Billiards and Snooker Federation of India. With over five decades of experience in promoting cue sports in Tamil Nadu, TNBSA has over 700 members as well as affiliated clubs and district associations.
