Biodiversity Awareness Function

Biodiversity is the degree of variation of life forms within a given ecosystem. It is a measure of the health of ecosystems. Biodiversity boosts ecosystem productivity where each species, no matter how small, all have an important role to play. And so, while we dominate this planet, we still need to preserve the diversity in wildlife.

Rapid environmental changes typically cause mass extinctions. A  one-day Eco training conference for teachers interested in inspiring future generations to be environmentally was recently  held by Tree Foundation.

This conference calls for the foundation of environment education to become the beacon for the conservation and preservation of bio-diversity that is an essential element of life.

With this exposure teachers will be better equipped to bring the environment into the classroom and connect students with their natural surroundings. This conference’s mission is to increase the ability of high school teachers to integrate environmental education into curricula so that students are prepared to be a part of environmental solutions.
