109th Birthday of Shri K.Kamarajar celebrated

The 109th Birthday of Shri. K.Kamarajar was celebrated at SBIOA Model Matric and Higher Secondary  School on 15th July. Shri. H. Vasanthakumar, a leading functionary of the Congress Party and Chairman and Managing Director of Vasanth T.V. participated in the celebration.Dr. J. Ebenezer Samraj, Principal of the school welcomed the chief guest and other dignitaries.Mr. K. Murugan, PTA President, draped a shawl to Shri. H.Vasathkumar and Mr. Thirugnanam garlanded him.

A special song, written about Kamarajar was composed for the occasion and sung by the school choir. Students of Std. VIII made a power point presentation about the life of Kamarajar.Shri. H.VasanthaKumar declared open a photo gallery about the life and achievements of Kamarajar, organized by the students and spoke about the sacrifice made by Shri. Kamarajar during the Independence struggle and also his contributions as the Chief Minister of TN and as the President of the Indian National Congress. Vice-Principal Mr. V.V. Anand and the Headmistress Mrs. Jayanthi Sunder were also present. The function ended with a vote of thanks by Thiru. R. Mainer, Treasurer of the Staff Association.
