Traffic Regulation Along Arya Gowda Road And Brindavan Street Extension

Traffic is always chaotic at the junction of Arya Gowda Road-Brindavan Street Extension in West Mambalam since most vehicles from Ashok Nagar, K.K. Nagar and Vadapalani use Duraiswamy subway to reach T.Nagar and beyond through this junction.

Incessant traffic has also become a cause for concern. The conglomeration of vehicles at this junction during morning and evening rush hour creates virtually a traffic jam not only at this junction but also on the entire stretch up to Duraiswamy subway.

Haphazard parking of vehicles by customers to business establishments adds to confusion at the congested junction. Unfortunately, there is neither a traffic signal nor a traffic constable. Consequently, pedestrians have to cross this junction with great difficulty and much risk.

It is nightmarish for elderly citizens and children. Further, visitors to a nationalised bank and a marriage hall situated at the end of Arya Gowda Road are put to much hardship while crossing this intersection. Installation of a traffic signal at this junction alone will solve these problems once and for all.
