The Metropolitan Transport Corporation has introduced frequent bus service to Sentral Railway station and Egmore railway station. It operates around 48 night service to important places. According to official sources, in the near future MTC proposes to operate bus services to link MRTS stations, Train-Bus link ticket, Prepaid Smart Card ticketing system. Its Global Positioning System is already in operation.
