Painting Show At Tangerine-Ilango’s Art Space

Artist Kalaiselvan always  prefers painting nature and hidden secrets beyond it.  I am carried away with such  ideas. Most of his paintings  are with knife, brush and finger tips which stand as unique style on mixed media. K.Kalaiselvan is a man of many parts who has finally found his niche in painting.

Kalai is proud of his beginnings. It was this life that created in his soul a thirst to give vent to his feelings through the medium of art, and his life shaped the desire.

Kalai too began his internship with this art by painting the school board and drawing science diagrams for various classes in the school.

Though he worked for some time to keep the wolf from the door, he finally realized that painting was what God had meant to do in his life and so from the start of 2010, he became a full fledged, full time painter. Kalai prefers the abstract, semi abstract, contemporary and figurative styles.

His knife and brush work is full of vigour. His themes are Nature and Beyond Nature with various structures on various moods which have distinctive flow of energy and thoughts.

In all his paintings colours have been randomly applied, a line he figures to continue in. His inspiration is the famed Claude Monet and J.M.W.Turner

. His future plan is to con duct art shows all over India and outside country. His aim is to achieve more in this field. His latest show is on display at Tangerine-Ilango’s art space No. 5 Murrays gate road, Alwarpet, Chennai-18, From 21st to 31st May 2011.
